In this workshop we’ll focus on getting the pulse and flow of Irish Music into your mandolin playing. We’ll start with often overlooked foundational elements of basic picking and fingering technique to produce maximum tone, sustain and volume, and to engage your body in pulse creation.  We’ll talk about ways to enhance the musicality in your playing by looking at phrasing, ornamentation and variation.  This workshop will be appropriate for mandolin players across levels, and for players of other instruments in the tradition who want to explore the mandolin!
